Multicultural Advisory Council
The Multicultural Advisory Council is comprised of people from across B.C. who are dedicated to promoting multiculturalism.
The Multicultural Advisory Council of B.C. is guided by the province’s Multiculturalism Act. The council’s role is to advise the minister responsible for multiculturalism on issues related to anti-racism and multiculturalism. Council members consult with communities and meet three to four times each year in the Lower Mainland. Council subcommittees may have additional meetings. Each year, the council presents an annual report to the minister, which outlines its activities and recommendations and is included in the Report on Multiculturalism.
